Keokee, a Sandpoint media and marketing company and publisher of books, magazines and websites (including Keokee Books, Sandpoint Magazine and SandpointOnline.com) is looking for the perfect designer-cum-digital media specialist — perfect for us, that is!
The position will work under our trio of talented senior designers and developers; this could be entry level or a second-step career move for a comparatively new designer looking to expand their skills with a grand variety of projects. Or, for a more established designer who just wants to do great work living in a great place.
You need a true flair for design for websites and online media, and strong familiarity with current technologies including CSS and html5. The ability to design in print is a big plus. Proficiency in Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign are necessary. Additional skills in, say Flash, java, php, cgi scripting are nice but not primary. You should have natural enthusiasm and personal interest in social media, SEO and mobile platforms, and the ability to think strategically about neat, effective ways to harness the fast-evolving digital trends on the Web and mobile devices. Other assets: Attention to detail, great service orientation and a cheerful can-do attitude. Ability to work productively under deadline is important. Lots of experience is great, but a little experience with a demonstrated talent could get you started here.
